Comparison review

LG G5 has a score of 76.1, which is a bit better than the Moto Z Play's overall score of 74.4. LG G5's design is just a little bit lighter but just a little thicker than the Moto Z Play, and both of them were released with only a couple of months difference. Both phones in our current comparison include the same Android 8.0 Oreo OS (operating system), so you shouldn't see any difference regarding that.

LG G5 counts with just a bit better looking screen than Moto Z Play, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a higher pixels quantity in each display inch. LG G5's memory capacity for games and applications is very similar to the Motorola Moto Z Play one, they have a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB and exactly the same 32 GB internal storage.

Motorola Moto Z Play has just a little better processing power than LG G5, because although it has less RAM, it also counts with 4 more processing cores. The LG G5 captures slightly better photographs and videos than Moto Z Play, and although they both have a same resolution camera, the same video resolution and the same video frame rates, the LG G5 also has a larger camera aperture.

Motorola Moto Z Play counts with improved battery performance than LG G5, because it has a 25 percent greater battery size.

Although LG G5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Moto Z Play, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Moto Z Play. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy LG G5, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Moto Z Play, resigning a couple features and specifications.
