Comparison review
Motorola Edge (2024) is a bit better than Moto Z Play, having a score of 78.5 against 74.4. Both phones in this review use Android OS, but the Motorola Edge (2024) has older 14 version while Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Even though the Motorola Edge (2024) is extremely newer than Moto Z Play, it's somewhat thicker and a bit heavier.
Motorola Edge (2024) counts with a better looking screen than Moto Z Play, because although it has a just a little worse display density, it also counts with a bigger display and a slightly better 1080 x 2400px resolution. The Motorola Edge (2024) features a little bit better storage capacity to store more games and applications than Motorola Moto Z Play, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage.
The Moto Z Play counts with a way better processing power than Motorola Edge (2024), although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Motorola Edge (2024) counts with a way better battery performance than Motorola Moto Z Play, because it has a 42 percent greater battery capacity.
The Motorola Edge (2024) takes slightly better photographs and videos than Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same video quality and the same video frame rate, the Motorola Edge (2024) also has a back-facing camera with a way better resolution and a bigger aperture.
Although Motorola Edge (2024) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Motorola Moto Z Play, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Motorola Moto Z Play. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Motorola Edge (2024), otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Motorola Moto Z Play, letting go some features and specifications.
