Motorola Edge 30 Neo has a global score of 83.1, which is better than the Moto Z Play's global score of 74.4. Even though the Motorola Edge 30 Neo is just a little bit thicker than the Moto Z Play, it's a little bit lighter and also much newer. Both devices in this comparison review have Android OS (operating system), but the Motorola Edge 30 Neo has the older 12 version and Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo version.

The Motorola Edge 30 Neo features a little bit better looking screen than Motorola Moto Z Play, because it has a little higher 1080 x 2400px resolution, a little bit better pixel amount in each screen inch and a little bit larger screen. The Motorola Edge 30 Neo features a little bit better hardware performance than Motorola Moto Z Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Motorola Edge 30 Neo also has more RAM.

The Motorola Moto Z Play has a very superior memory for games and applications than Motorola Edge 30 Neo, because although it has only 32 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Motorola Edge 30 Neo features a much better camera than Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video quality, the Motorola Edge 30 Neo also has faster video frame rate, a camera with a lot better 64 MP resolution and a larger diafragm aperture to capture better captures in poorly lited situations.

Motorola Edge 30 Neo has a little better battery lifetime than Motorola Moto Z Play, because it has a 15 percent bigger battery capacity.
