Motorola Edge 50 Neo has a general score of 81.9, which is much better than Moto Z Play's 74.4 general score. The Motorola Edge 50 Neo design is way newer, but a bit heavier and thicker than Moto Z Play. Both devices we are comparing come with Android operating system, but the Motorola Edge 50 Neo has the previous 14 version and Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo version.

Motorola Moto Z Play has a much better performance than Motorola Edge 50 Neo, although it has 5 GB lesser RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Motorola Edge 50 Neo has a much more vibrant display than Moto Z Play, because it has a little bit greater pixel density, a better 1256 x 2760 resolution and a larger screen.

Motorola Edge 50 Neo has a slightly bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Moto Z Play, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. Motorola Edge 50 Neo takes much better videos and photos than Motorola Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Motorola Edge 50 Neo also has a larger diafragm aperture to take better low light images and video and a lot better resolution camera.
