Motorola Edge 50 Ultra has an overall score of 87.1, which is much better than the Moto Z Play's 74.4 overall score. Both of these phones use Android operating system, but the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra has an older 14 version and Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Even though the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is newer than the Moto Z Play, it's heavier and thicker.

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra has a much more vibrant screen than Moto Z Play, because although it has a bit less pixels per inch of display, it also counts with a bigger display and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400px. Motorola Edge 50 Ultra features much more storage capacity to store more games and applications than Moto Z Play, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 480 GB more internal storage capacity.

The Moto Z Play features a much greater hardware performance than Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have 8 cpu cores. Motorola Edge 50 Ultra has better battery life than Moto Z Play, because it has a 28 percent bigger battery size. The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra has a way better camera than Motorola Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra also has a lot more MP back camera, a bigger camera aperture to take better low-light photography and videos and faster 60 frames per second video frame rates.
