The Motorola Moto G 5G has a general score of 81.5, which is slightly better than Motorola Moto Z Play's 74.4 overall score. Both phones in this review include Android operating system, but Motorola Moto G 5G has 10 version and Motorola Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo.
Motorola Moto G 5G features a screen that's very similar to Motorola Moto Z Play's display, because although the Motorola Moto G 5G has a just a bit lower pixel density, it also counts with a larger screen and a bit higher 1080 x 2400 resolution. Motorola Moto G 5G features just a little better performance than Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Motorola Moto G 5G also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
The Motorola Moto G 5G has a little bit better memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Motorola Moto Z Play, because although it has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB against 1,95 TB, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage. Moto G 5G takes much clearer videos and photos than Motorola Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same (4K) video quality, the Moto G 5G also has a camera in the back with a much better resolution and a bigger aperture for better photos and video in low light situations.
Moto G 5G has a way better battery duration than Motorola Moto Z Play, because it has a 5000mAh battery size.
