Motorola Moto G31 has a general score of 77, which is slightly better than Motorola Moto Z Play's overall score of 74.4. These phones work with Android operating system, but the Motorola Moto G31 has the older 11 version and Motorola Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Even though the Motorola Moto G31 is extremely newer than the Motorola Moto Z Play, it's somewhat thicker and just a bit heavier.

The Moto Z Play and the Moto G31 count with extremely similar processing units, and although the Moto G31 has more RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. Motorola Moto G31 has a little bit better screen than Moto Z Play, because it has a bigger screen, a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a just a bit higher display density.

Moto G31 counts with a slightly better storage for applications and games than Motorola Moto Z Play, because although it has a slot for an SD memory card that holds 976 GB smaller, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. Moto G31 counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Motorola Moto Z Play, because it has a 42 percent larger battery capacity.
