The Moto G9 Play has a score of 76.7, which is just a bit better than the Moto Z Play's overall score of 74.4. Even though Moto G9 Play is way newer than the Moto Z Play, it is extremely thicker and somewhat heavier. Both phones in this comparison work with Android OS, but Moto G9 Play has the older 10 version and Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo.

The Moto G9 Play's processing unit is very similar to the processing unit in Moto Z Play, and although the Moto G9 Play has a higher amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. The Moto Z Play features a better display than Moto G9 Play, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per inch of display and a better resolution of 1080 x 1920.

Motorola Moto G9 Play captures much clearer photos and videos than Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution, the Motorola Moto G9 Play also has faster video frame rates, a larger aperture to capture better photos in low-light situations and a much better 48 megapixels resolution back-facing camera.

The Motorola Moto Z Play counts with a little bit better storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Moto G9 Play, because although it has only 32 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 1,95 TB. Motorola Moto G9 Play counts with a superior battery lifetime than Moto Z Play, because it has a 42% greater battery size.
