The Motorola razr (2020) has a score of 87, which is much better than Motorola Moto Z Play's 74.4 overall score. These devices come with Android OS (Operating System), but Motorola razr (2020) has the older 11 version while Motorola Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo. Motorola razr (2020)'s design is notably newer, but heavier and just a little thicker than the Motorola Moto Z Play.
Motorola razr (2020) features a bit faster processing unit than Motorola Moto Z Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Motorola razr (2020) also has more RAM. The Moto Z Play has a little sharper display than Motorola razr (2020), because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a quite greater pixel density.
Motorola razr (2020) takes much better videos and photos than Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Motorola razr (2020) also has a back-facing camera with lot more megapixels and a larger diafragm aperture to take better low light photography.
The Motorola razr (2020) counts with just a bit more memory capacity to install applications and games than Moto Z Play, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal memory. Moto Z Play features better battery performance than Motorola razr (2020), because it has a 25% greater battery size.
Although Motorola razr (2020) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Moto Z Play, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto Z Play. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Motorola razr (2020), else you can save some money and get the Moto Z Play, letting go a couple features and specifications.
