The Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has a general score of 78.1, which is just a bit better than Motorola Moto Z Play's general score of 74.4. These phones include Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has the previous 11 version and Motorola Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo. Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 is a newer cellphone than Motorola Moto Z Play, although it is a little bit heavier and much thicker.

The Galaxy XCover 5 counts with a processor that is very similar to Moto Z Play's processor, and although the Galaxy XCover 5 has a higher amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor. Motorola Moto Z Play features a bit more vivid display than Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a greater count of pixels per inch in the display, a quite bigger display and a higher 1080 x 1920px resolution.

The Galaxy XCover 5 counts with a bit more storage to store more apps and games than Moto Z Play, because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits 976 GB smaller, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity. Motorola Moto Z Play counts with just a bit longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a 3510mAh battery size against 3000mAh.

Moto Z Play shoots a bit better photos and videos than Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for taking photographs and/or video in low-light environments, and they both have a camera in the back with a 16 mega-pixels resolution, the Moto Z Play also counts with a much better (4K) video resolution.
