Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is much better than the Motorola Moto Z Play, with a global score of 91.1 against 74.4. These phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition has the older 14 version while Motorola Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo. The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is a notably heavier but notably thinner device than the Motorola Moto Z Play.

Moto Z Play features a much greater hardware performance than Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor. Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition has a better looking screen than Moto Z Play, because although it has a little lower pixel density, it also counts with a much better resolution of 1968 x 2184 and a lot bigger screen.

The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition counts with a superior camera than Moto Z Play, because it has a bigger diafragm aperture to take better captures and video in low-light environments and a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back. The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition features a very superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Moto Z Play, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition has greater battery duration than Moto Z Play, because it has a 4400mAh battery size.

Although Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Moto Z Play, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Moto Z Play. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Moto Z Play, letting go some features and specs.
