Xperia 1 II is a lot better than the Moto Z Play, getting a score of 91 against 74.4. Both of these phones include Android OS (Operating System), but the Xperia 1 II has 11 version while Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo. The Xperia 1 II is a much newer phone than Moto Z Play, but it is just a little bit thicker and just a bit heavier.

The Xperia 1 II has a bit superior CPU than Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 II also has more RAM. The Sony Xperia 1 II has a brighter screen than Moto Z Play, because it has a bigger display, a much better 1644 x 3840 resolution and a lot more pixels per inch in the display.
