Comparison review

The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is a little bit better than the Moto Z Play, getting an 81.4 score against 74.4. The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE construction is incredibly newer and a little bit lighter, but just a little thicker than Moto Z Play. Both devices in this review include Android operating system, but the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo version, so it provides a couple nice extra features and improved performance.

Xiaomi Mi 9 SE counts with a little bit better looking screen than Motorola Moto Z Play, because it has a little bit larger display, a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 and a little greater screen density. Xiaomi Mi 9 SE counts with just a bit better processing power than Motorola Moto Z Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE also has 3 GB more RAM.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE shoots much better pictures and videos than Motorola Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same video frame rate, the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE also has a bigger aperture to capture better low light images and video and a way higher resolution back camera.

The Moto Z Play counts with a much greater storage capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, because although it has only 32 GB internal memory, it also counts with an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Moto Z Play features just a little bit longer battery life than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, because it has a 3510mAh battery capacity.
