Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro has a global score of 82.7, which is better than the Moto Z Play's global score of 74.4. Although Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro is a lot newer than Moto Z Play, it's heavier and thicker. Both of these devices use Android operating system, but Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro has 10 version while Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo.

Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro has a bit better looking screen than Motorola Moto Z Play, because it has a just a little greater pixel count in each display inch, a bigger display and a little higher 1080 x 2340 resolution. The Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro counts with a bit better processor than Moto Z Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

The Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro features a much better camera than Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same video quality, the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro also has higher video frame rates, a larger camera aperture to take better low light photos and a camera with a much higher resolution.
