Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is slightly better than the Moto Z Play, with a overall score of 77.2 against 74.4. Even though the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is newer than Moto Z Play, it is a bit heavier and somewhat thicker. Both of these devices work with Android OS, but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has newer 8.1 Oreo version while Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo, offering a couple nice extra features and improved performance.
The Moto Z Play features a little bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, although it has lesser RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro counts with a bit sharper display than Moto Z Play, because although it has a quite worse pixel density, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and a quite larger display.

Motorola Moto Z Play features a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for low-light images and videos, it also counts with a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a way more mega pixels back-facing camera.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro features a little longer battery performance than Moto Z Play, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3510mAh.
