The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro is a little bit better than the Moto Z Play, having a general score of 81.1 against 74.4. Both of these phones work with Android operating system, but Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has older 10 version while Moto Z Play has Android 8.0 Oreo. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro is a incredibly newer phone than the Moto Z Play, but it is way heavier and thicker.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro features a bit more powerful processor than Moto Z Play, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also has 3 GB more RAM memory. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro and Moto Z Play both have incredibly similar displays, because although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has a little less pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a larger screen and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro is a little more expensive than the Motorola Moto Z Play, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
