The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has an overall score of 82.1, which is slightly better than Moto Z2 Force Edition's global score of 77.4. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is a newer phone than Moto Z2 Force Edition, although it is a lot heavier and noticeably thicker. Motorola Moto Z2 Force Edition has just a little better processing power than Galaxy A8 Star, although it has less RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor.

The Moto Z2 Force Edition features a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a higher display pixel density. The Moto Z2 Force Edition features much more storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Moto Z2 Force Edition also has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star shoots slightly better pictures and videos than Motorola Moto Z2 Force Edition, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star also has a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back, a bigger aperture and a larger back camera sensor which offers a better image and video quality.

Samsung Galaxy A8 Star features a superior battery life than Moto Z2 Force Edition, because it has a 3700mAh battery size instead of 2730mAh.
