The Moto G Stylus has a score of 79.7, which is just a bit better than Motorola Moto Z2 Play's 77.4 overall score. Although Moto G Stylus is notably newer than the Motorola Moto Z2 Play, it's noticeably heavier and notably thicker. Motorola Moto Z2 Play features a bit faster processing unit than Motorola Moto G Stylus. Both of them have a Octa-Core CPU and the same RAM amount.

Moto G Stylus and Moto Z2 Play have similar displays, because although the Moto G Stylus has a just a bit lower display pixel density, it also counts with a slightly higher 1080 x 2300 resolution and a larger display. Moto G Stylus takes greater videos and photos than Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have the same diafragm aperture, the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Moto G Stylus also has a back-facing camera with lot more megapixels.

The Motorola Moto Z2 Play counts with just a bit more memory capacity to install applications and games than Moto G Stylus, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. Moto G Stylus features better battery performance than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 33% greater battery size.

Although Motorola Moto G Stylus is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Moto Z2 Play, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto Z2 Play. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Motorola Moto G Stylus, else you can save some money and get the Moto Z2 Play, letting go a couple features and specifications.
