Galaxy A8 Star has an overall score of 82.1, which is a little bit better than the Moto Z2 Play's score of 77.4. The Galaxy A8 Star body is newer than Moto Z2 Play's, although it is way thicker and noticeably heavier. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star features a bit better hardware performance than Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star also has 2 GB more RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star and Motorola Moto Z2 Play both count with very similar displays, because although the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a quite lower display pixels density, it also counts with a little bigger display and a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels.
