Samsung Galaxy M31 is much better than the Moto Z2 Play, having an 86.5 score against 77.4. Even though the Samsung Galaxy M31 is noticeably newer than the Moto Z2 Play, it's extremely heavier and a lot thicker. The Galaxy M31 counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Galaxy M31 also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
Galaxy M31 counts with a bit better looking display than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2340px, a larger display and a just a bit better pixel count in each screen inch. Samsung Galaxy M31 takes much better pictures and videos than Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not favorable for low-light photos and videos, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy M31 also counts with a lot more mega-pixels back facing camera.
Motorola Moto Z2 Play counts with much more storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy M31, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Motorola Moto Z2 Play also has an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB.
Galaxy M31 counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 100% larger battery capacity.
