Comparison review

The Xperia XZ1 has an overall score of 78.3, which is a bit better than Moto Z3 Play's 76.3 general score. The Xperia XZ1 is a just a bit thicker cellphone than Moto Z3 Play, but they have the same weight. The Sony Xperia XZ1 features a little more vivid screen than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a quite smaller display and a quite lower 1080 x 1920px resolution, it also counts with a just a little better screen pixels density.

Xperia XZ1 counts with a little better processing power than Motorola Moto Z3 Play. Both have a Octa-Core processor and a 4 GB RAM memory. Sony Xperia XZ1's storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos is very similar to Moto Z3 Play's one, they have a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB and equal internal storage.

The Motorola Moto Z3 Play counts with just a bit better battery duration than Sony Xperia XZ1, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity. Xperia XZ1 shoots slightly better pictures and videos than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video definition, the Xperia XZ1 also counts with a back-facing camera with a lot higher resolution and a bigger sensor capturing higher quality videos and photographs.

Although Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it is more expensive than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Motorola Moto Z3 Play. If you want to save some money, you can get the Motorola Moto Z3 Play, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
