Sony Xperia XZ2 is just a bit better than Motorola Moto Z3, having a global score of 79.1 against 77.6. Even being the best phone in this review, it must be noted that it's also noticeably heavier and noticeably thicker. Sony Xperia XZ2 has a little sharper display than Motorola Moto Z3, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1080 x 2160 resolution, the Sony Xperia XZ2 also counts with a little greater display density.
The Moto Z3 counts with a much bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Xperia XZ2, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Moto Z3 also has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 1,95 TB. Sony Xperia XZ2 counts with just a bit better performance than Moto Z3. Both of them have 4 GB of RAM memory and a Octa-Core processing unit.
Sony Xperia XZ2 has a better camera than Moto Z3, and although they both have a F2 aperture and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Sony Xperia XZ2 also has a lot higher resolution back-facing camera, higher video frame rates and a way larger sensor capturing way higher quality videos and pictures.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 counts with a bit superior battery life than Moto Z3, because it has a 6 percent more battery size.
