Moto Z4 has a global score of 79.8, which is a bit better than the Motorola Moto Z2 Play's 77.4 score. The Moto Z4 construction is newer than the Motorola Moto Z2 Play's, although it's thicker and heavier. Motorola Moto Z2 Play counts with a display that is just as good as the Motorola Moto Z4 one, although the Motorola Moto Z2 Play has a quite smaller display, a little worse 1080 x 1920px resolution and a bit worse display density.

Motorola Moto Z2 Play counts with just a bit more memory capacity to store more games and applications than Moto Z4, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Motorola Moto Z2 Play counts with a little bit better processing power than Motorola Moto Z4. Both of them have 8 cores and the same RAM memory amount.

The Moto Z4 features greater battery performance than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 3600mAh battery capacity instead of 3000mAh. The Moto Z4 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have the same video frame rates, a F1.7 aperture and the same video resolution, the Moto Z4 also has a much more mega-pixels back-facing camera.

Although Motorola Moto Z4 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Moto Z2 Play, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto Z2 Play. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Motorola Moto Z4, else you can save some dollars and get the Moto Z2 Play, resigning a couple features and specifications.
