Comparison review

The Motorola Moto Z4 has a general score of 79.8, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy A40's general score of 79.6. Both of these phones use Android OS, but Motorola Moto Z4 has an older 10 version and Samsung Galaxy A40 has Android 11 version. Even though Motorola Moto Z4 and Samsung Galaxy A40 were released only a couple months apart, Motorola Moto Z4's design is heavier but just a little thinner.

The Moto Z4 has a little faster processor than Galaxy A40. Both have 8 CPU cores and a 4 GB RAM. Samsung Galaxy A40 features a bit more vivid display than Moto Z4, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1080 x 2340px resolution, the Samsung Galaxy A40 also counts with a little bit better amount of pixels per display inch.

The Moto Z4 counts with a way bigger storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy A40, and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB, the Moto Z4 also has 128 GB internal memory capacity. Motorola Moto Z4 counts with just a bit longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has a 3600mAh battery size against 3100mAh.

Moto Z4 shoots greater photos and videos than Galaxy A40, and although they both have a F1.7 aperture, the Moto Z4 also has a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back, a way better (4K) video quality and a way larger back-facing camera sensor providing a much better image quality.
