Galaxy A42 is a bit better than Motorola Moto Z4, with a overall score of 87 against 79.8. These phones have Android OS, but Galaxy A42 has 11 version while Motorola Moto Z4 has Android 10 version, offering a couple additional features and performance tweaks. The Galaxy A42 design is newer, but thicker and heavier than the Motorola Moto Z4.
The Galaxy A42 features just a little better hardware performance than Moto Z4. Both of them have 4 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores. Moto Z4 features a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better screen pixels density and a much higher 1080 x 2340px resolution.
Motorola Moto Z4 has a slightly better camera than Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and a 48 megapixels camera in the back, the Motorola Moto Z4 also has a larger aperture to capture better photography and videos in poorly lited situations.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a little bit more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Motorola Moto Z4, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB. The Galaxy A42 features a much better battery lifetime than Moto Z4, because it has a 5000mAh battery size.
