Comparison review

The Moto Z4 is a little bit better than the Xperia Z3, having a global score of 79.8 against 77.3. Both of these phones use Android OS (operating system), but the Moto Z4 has older 10 version while Xperia Z3 has Android 4.4.4 version. Moto Z4 is a newer phone, and it's also a little bit lighter and thinner than the Xperia Z3.

Sony Xperia Z3 counts with a much sharper screen than Motorola Moto Z4, because although it has a bit worse 1920 x 1080 resolution and a bit smaller display, it also counts with a just a little better pixels count per inch in the display. Xperia Z3 has just a bit better performance than Motorola Moto Z4, because although it has an inferior number of cores and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor.

The Moto Z4 features a much greater memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia Z3, because it has an external memory slot that allows up to 512 GB and 128 GB internal storage capacity. Moto Z4 counts with a little better battery duration than Sony Xperia Z3, because it has a 3600mAh battery size instead of 3200mAh.

Motorola Moto Z4 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Xperia Z3, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Motorola Moto Z4 also has a way more mega pixels back-facing camera, a larger back-facing camera sensor which offers a better photo and video quality and a bigger camera aperture to take better low light images and videos.

Although Moto Z4 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xperia Z3. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Xperia Z3, letting go a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
