Xiaomi Mi 8 is a little bit better than Moto Z4, with a general score of 83.3 against 79.8. Both phones in our current comparison come with the same Android 10 OS (operating system). The Xiaomi Mi 8 is an older, a bit heavier and just a little thicker device than Moto Z4. Xiaomi Mi 8 features a bit sharper screen than Moto Z4, although it has a just a bit worse screen pixel density, a little bit smaller screen and a bit lower 1080 x 2248px resolution.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Motorola Moto Z4, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has more RAM. The Motorola Moto Z4 features a slightly better storage to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has only 128 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 512 GB.
Moto Z4 captures better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Moto Z4 also has a much bigger sensor taking much higher quality videos and photos, a much better resolution camera in the back and a larger diafragm aperture for better low-light photos and videos.
