Moto Z3 Play is a bit better than Nokia 8.1, getting a score of 76.3 against 72.1. Although the Moto Z3 Play and Nokia 8.1 were released only 6 months apart, the Moto Z3 Play is lighter and thinner. The Nokia 8.1 features a bit better processing unit than Moto Z3 Play. Both of them have a Octa-Core processor and 4 GB of RAM memory.
Nokia 8.1 features a bit sharper screen than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because it has a just a little higher pixel amount in each inch of display, a bit bigger screen and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2280. The Moto Z3 Play's camera is just as good as Nokia 8.1's camera, and although the Moto Z3 Play has a larger diafragm aperture to take better low-light images and videos, they both have the same video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 video definition, a 12 megapixels camera in the back and the same sensor size.
Moto Z3 Play has a lot bigger memory for apps and games than Nokia 8.1, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Moto Z3 Play also has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Nokia 8.1 has a little longer battery lifetime than Moto Z3 Play, because it has 3500mAh of battery capacity.
