Galaxy A42 has a score of 87, which is a lot better than Nokia 8.1's general score of 72.1. These phones work with Android OS, but Galaxy A42 has a more recent 11 version while Nokia 8.1 has Android 10, so it counts with some nice extra features and some performance improvements. The Galaxy A42 construction is newer than the Nokia 8.1's, although it's just a little heavier and just a bit thicker.
The Nokia 8.1 counts with a brighter screen than Galaxy A42, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much greater pixel count per display inch and a way better resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels. Galaxy A42's processor is just as good as the processing unit in Nokia 8.1, both have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core processing unit.
The Galaxy A42 counts with a better camera than Nokia 8.1, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same diafragm aperture, the Galaxy A42 also has a way higher resolution camera in the back.
