Galaxy Alpha is just a bit better than the Nokia 8.1, having a 76.3 score against 72.1. Galaxy Alpha is a a lot lighter and thinner cellphone than the Nokia 8.1. Both devices in this review use Android operating system, but the Galaxy Alpha has newer 4.4.4 version while Nokia 8.1 has Android 10 version, providing the user lots of additional features and enhanced performance.
Galaxy Alpha counts with a bit sharper screen than Nokia 8.1, although it has a way worse 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, a bit lower quantity of pixels per inch of screen and a way smaller display. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha counts with a bit better processing unit than Nokia 8.1, because although it has 4 less processing cores and 2 GB lesser RAM memory, it also counts with a graphics processor.
The Nokia 8.1 counts with a bit better camera than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 video definition and a back camera with a 12 MP, the Nokia 8.1 also has a bigger aperture. Nokia 8.1 counts with a superior memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Alpha, because it has 64 GB internal memory and a SD memory slot that holds up to 400 GB.
The Nokia 8.1 has a much longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has an 88 percent larger battery capacity.
