Galaxy M40 is better than Nokia 8.1, getting an 85 score against 72.1. Both phones in our current comparison use the same Android 10 operating system. Galaxy M40's design has the same thickness than the Nokia 8.1, but it is just a little lighter. Nokia 8.1 and Galaxy M40 both count with similar displays, although the Galaxy M40 also has a quite larger screen, a bit higher pixels count in each inch in the screen and a bit higher 1080 x 2340 resolution.
The Galaxy M40 and Nokia 8.1 both have extremely similar processors, and although the Galaxy M40 has a larger amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. Samsung Galaxy M40 has a much bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Nokia 8.1, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity and a SD extension slot that allows up to 512 GB.
Samsung Galaxy M40 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Nokia 8.1, because although it has a tinier sensor capturing lower quality videos and pictures, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also counts with a lot more mega-pixels back facing camera and a larger aperture for better low-light photos and videos.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 and Nokia 8.1 feature quite similar batteries performance.
