The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has an overall score of 83, which is much better than Nokia 8.1's global score of 72.1. Both phones in this comparison work with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Nokia 8.1 has Android 10 version, so it provides a couple nice extra features and improved performance. Although it's the best phone we compare here, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 body is older, a little heavier and just a little thicker than the Nokia 8.1.

Galaxy Note8 features a little more vivid display than Nokia 8.1, because it has a greater amount of pixels per inch in the display, a better 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution and a little bit larger screen. Galaxy Note8 counts with just a bit better processing power than Nokia 8.1, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Galaxy Note8 also has 2 GB more RAM.

The Galaxy Note8 shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Nokia 8.1, and although they both have a 0.39 inches sensor, a 12 megapixels resolution back-facing camera, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy Note8 also has a bigger aperture. Nokia 8.1 has a bit more memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy Note8, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Nokia 8.1 also has an external memory slot that admits up to 400 GB.

The Nokia 8.1 features just a bit better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has a 6% larger battery size.
