Comparison review
The Galaxy A8 Star has an overall score of 82.1, which is much better than OnePlus 12R's general score of 71.9. These phones have Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy A8 Star has newer 9.0 Pie version while OnePlus 12R has Android 14 version, providing the user a lot of extra features. The Galaxy A8 Star counts with a way better performance than OnePlus 12R, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores.
OnePlus 12R has a much sharper display than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a better resolution of 1264 x 2780 pixels, a bit better pixels density and a quite bigger screen. The OnePlus 12R captures a little bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have the same video resolution, the OnePlus 12R also has faster video frame rate and a camera in the back with way more mega-pixels.
The OnePlus 12R has a greater memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity. The OnePlus 12R has a much better battery life than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 5500mAh battery capacity against 3700mAh.
