The Sony Xperia XZ1 is a little bit better than the OnePlus 6, getting a overall score of 78.3 against 73.3. The Sony Xperia XZ1 design is just a little bit thinner and lighter than OnePlus 6, even though they were released only 8 months apart. OnePlus 6 counts with a bit superior CPU than Sony Xperia XZ1, and although they both have 8 cores, the OnePlus 6 also has more RAM memory.
Sony Xperia XZ1 counts with a bit sharper screen than OnePlus 6, because although it has a little worse resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little more pixels per screen inch. Xperia XZ1 has more memory capacity for applications and games than OnePlus 6, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB.
The OnePlus 6 counts with better battery life than Xperia XZ1, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity. The Xperia XZ1 has a camera that is just as good as the camera in OnePlus 6, because although the Xperia XZ1 has slower 30 frames per second video frame rates and a smaller aperture which is not good for low light photography and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, it also counts with a more MP back facing camera and a bigger back camera sensor capturing higher quality videos and photos.
Although Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than OnePlus 6, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as OnePlus 6. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the OnePlus 6, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
