Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 5 has a general score of 81, which is much better than the OnePlus 7's 71.6 score. The Sony Xperia 5 construction has the same thickness than the OnePlus 7, but it is a little lighter. Xperia 5 counts with a processor that is very similar to OnePlus 7's processor, they have 6 GB of RAM and 8 processing cores.
Xperia 5 has a bit more vivid display than OnePlus 7, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a quite higher number of pixels in each inch of display and a quite better 1080 x 2520 resolution. Xperia 5 counts with much more storage capacity to install applications and games than OnePlus 7, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Xperia 5 also has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
OnePlus 7 has better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 5, because it has an 18 percent greater battery capacity. The OnePlus 7 captures way better photographs and videos than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the OnePlus 7 also counts with better video frame rate, a way larger camera sensor which provides a much better image and video quality and a back facing camera with lot more mega pixels.
Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than OnePlus 7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the OnePlus 7. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Sony Xperia 5, else you can save some dollars and buy the OnePlus 7, resigning a couple features and specs.
