Comparison review
Xperia XZ3 has a global score of 79.6, which is much better than the OnePlus 7's 71.6 score. Even being the best in this review, Xperia XZ3's design is a little bit heavier and somewhat thicker than OnePlus 7. Both devices in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Xperia XZ3 has 9.0 Pie version and OnePlus 7 has Android 11 version, counting with a couple additional features.
OnePlus 7 features a bit better performance than Xperia XZ3, and although they both have 8 cores, the OnePlus 7 also has a higher amount of RAM memory. The Xperia XZ3 counts with a sharper display than OnePlus 7, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2880 resolution and a greater pixels density.
The Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with more memory for apps and games than OnePlus 7, because although it has only 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. OnePlus 7 features a little better battery duration than Sony Xperia XZ3, because it has 3700mAh of battery capacity.
The OnePlus 7 features a better camera than Xperia XZ3, and although they both have the same video resolution, the OnePlus 7 also has a bigger diafragm aperture to take better photos in poorly lited situations, a back camera with a lot better 48 megapixels resolution, a bigger sensor and better video frame rates.
Although Sony Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than OnePlus 7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the OnePlus 7. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia XZ3, else you can save some dollars and get the OnePlus 7, resigning a couple features and specs.
