Asus ROG Phone 5 has an overall score of 84.7, which is slightly better than OnePlus 8 Pro's 77.2 overall score. The Asus ROG Phone 5 design is newer than OnePlus 8 Pro's, but it's somewhat thicker and somewhat heavier. Asus ROG Phone 5 features a CPU that is very similar to the OnePlus 8 Pro one, both have 8 GB of RAM memory and 8 cpu cores.
OnePlus 8 Pro has a bit better looking screen than Asus ROG Phone 5, and although they both have a display of the same size, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has a little bit more brightness, a better resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels and a higher display density. The Asus ROG Phone 5 and OnePlus 8 Pro both have extremely similar memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos, they have the same internal memory capacity.
Asus ROG Phone 5 features improved battery lifetime than OnePlus 8 Pro, because it has a 6000mAh battery size. The Asus ROG Phone 5 takes clearer photographs and videos than OnePlus 8 Pro, because although it has a tinier back camera sensor which offers a lower image and video quality, and they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the Asus ROG Phone 5 also counts with a lot higher video quality and a way better resolution back-facing camera.
