Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is a little bit better than the OnePlus 8 Pro, getting an 82.1 score against 77.2. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star's design is just a little bit lighter and just a bit thinner than the OnePlus 8 Pro, despite of the fact that it was released just a little over a year before. OnePlus 8 Pro features a much sharper screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a bit larger display, more pixels per inch in the screen and a better resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels.
The Galaxy A8 Star has a bigger memory capacity for applications and games than OnePlus 8 Pro, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB. The OnePlus 8 Pro counts with a bit better processor than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
OnePlus 8 Pro counts with greater battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 22% bigger battery size. The OnePlus 8 Pro shoots much better photographs and videos than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the OnePlus 8 Pro also counts with higher video frame rate, a much higher resolution camera and a way larger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
