Comparison review
The Xperia 5 is a bit better than OnePlus 8 Pro, having a score of 81 against 77.2. Although the Xperia 5 and OnePlus 8 Pro were released only a few months apart, the Xperia 5 is just a little thinner and lighter. OnePlus 8 Pro features a much better looking display than Sony Xperia 5, because it has a quite better display density, a quite bigger screen and a better resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels.
The Sony Xperia 5 has a processing unit that's very similar to the processing unit in OnePlus 8 Pro, and although the Sony Xperia 5 has a lower amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. OnePlus 8 Pro counts with a lot better camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for low-light images, and they both have the same video definition, the OnePlus 8 Pro also counts with a camera with a way better 48 megapixels resolution, higher video frame rate and a lot larger camera sensor providing a lot better image quality.
The Sony Xperia 5 features a way bigger memory capacity for apps and games than OnePlus 8 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory, the Sony Xperia 5 also has an external memory card slot that allows up to 512 GB. The OnePlus 8 Pro has a much longer battery performance than Xperia 5, because it has 4510mAh of battery capacity against 3140mAh.
Xperia 5 costs a little more money than OnePlus 8 Pro, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a better phone for that extra money.
