Xperia XZ2 is slightly better than OnePlus 8 Pro, getting a general score of 79.1 against 77.2. Even though Xperia XZ2 is much older and extremely thicker than OnePlus 8 Pro, it's construction is still a bit lighter. The OnePlus 8 Pro has a bit superior CPU than Xperia XZ2, and although they both have the same number of cores, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has more RAM memory.
The OnePlus 8 Pro has a sharper display than Xperia XZ2, because it has a better resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels, much more brightness, a quite better screen density and a bigger screen. OnePlus 8 Pro has a much better battery duration than Sony Xperia XZ2, because it has a 4510mAh battery size against 3180mAh. OnePlus 8 Pro captures better pictures and videos than Xperia XZ2, and although they both have the same video quality and the same video frame rates, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has a much more megapixels back camera, a bigger aperture for better low light photography and video and a much larger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
