Comparison review
The Xperia XZ3 has an overall score of 79.6, which is just a bit better than OnePlus 8 Pro's score of 77.2. Despite of the fact the Xperia XZ3 is older and somewhat thicker than OnePlus 8 Pro, it's design is still a bit lighter. The OnePlus 8 Pro counts with a bit better looking screen than Xperia XZ3, because although it has a bit lower pixel density, it also counts with a little larger display, much more brightness and a little higher 1440 x 3168px resolution.
OnePlus 8 Pro has a bit superior CPU than Sony Xperia XZ3, and although they both have the same number of cores, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has 4 GB more RAM. Sony Xperia XZ3 counts with a greater memory capacity for games and applications than OnePlus 8 Pro, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits up to 512 GB.
OnePlus 8 Pro counts with a much better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ3, because it has 4510mAh of battery capacity. The OnePlus 8 Pro has a better camera than Xperia XZ3, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has a much larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors, faster 60 fps video frame rate, a back camera with way more megapixels and a bigger aperture to take better images and video in low-light situations.
Although Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it costs more money than the OnePlus 8 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as OnePlus 8 Pro. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Xperia XZ3, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the OnePlus 8 Pro, letting go a couple features and specifications.
