Huawei P40 is better than the OnePlus 8, having a score of 86.4 against 76. Even though the Huawei P40 and the OnePlus 8 were released only 0 months apart, the Huawei P40 design is a little bit lighter but just a little bit thicker than the OnePlus 8. Huawei P40 features a CPU that is very similar to the OnePlus 8 one, and although the Huawei P40 has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 processing cores.
The OnePlus 8 counts with a bit sharper screen than Huawei P40, because although it has a quite worse pixel density, it also counts with a little larger screen and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The Huawei P40's storage for applications, games, photos and videos is very similar to OnePlus 8's one, they have equal internal memory capacity.
The OnePlus 8 features a bit superior battery performance than Huawei P40, because it has a 13% bigger battery size. Huawei P40 takes just a bit better videos and photos than OnePlus 8, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same 60 frames per second video frame rate, the Huawei P40 also counts with a much larger sensor providing a lot higher image quality and a more megapixels back facing camera.
The Huawei P40 not only is the best phones in this comparison, but it's also a lot cheaper, which makes this phone a great choice.
