Comparison review

Galaxy Note 5 has an overall score of 79.3, which is just a bit better than OnePlus 8's overall score of 76. Galaxy Note 5 is an noticeably older cellphone than the OnePlus 8, but Samsung was able to build it a little thinner and a bit lighter. The OnePlus 8 features a superior processor than Galaxy Note 5, because it has a larger number of cores (and also faster) and more RAM memory.

Galaxy Note 5 features a bit better display than OnePlus 8, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 2560 x 1440px and more pixels per inch in the screen. The OnePlus 8 counts with much more memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Note 5, because it has 64 GB more internal memory capacity.

The OnePlus 8 captures much clearer photos and videos than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have the same video quality, the OnePlus 8 also has higher 60 frames per second video frame rate, a way more megapixels back facing camera, a much bigger back camera sensor providing a lot higher image quality and a bigger camera aperture to take better low-light photography.

The OnePlus 8 features a superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 43 percent larger battery size.

Galaxy Note 5 costs more than the OnePlus 8, but it's still a great choice, as you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
