Xperia 1 II has an overall score of 91, which is much better than OnePlus 8's overall score of 76. Xperia 1 II's construction has the same thickness than the OnePlus 8, but it's a little heavier. Sony Xperia 1 II counts with just a bit better looking screen than OnePlus 8, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Sony Xperia 1 II also has a way higher 1644 x 3840px resolution and way more pixels per inch in the display.
