Xperia 5 III has an overall score of 90.5, which is much better than the OnePlus 8's 76 score. The Xperia 5 III construction is newer and just a little lighter, but a little thicker than the OnePlus 8. OnePlus 8 features a bit more vivid screen than Xperia 5 III, because although it has a bit lower 1080 x 2400px resolution and a just a little less pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a bit larger screen. The Xperia 5 III features just a little bit longer battery duration than OnePlus 8, because it has a 4500mAh battery size. OnePlus 8 takes clearer photos and videos than Xperia 5 III, because although it has a smaller back-facing camera sensor which gives a lower image and video quality, a tinier aperture which is worse for taking photographs or video in low-light situations and slower 60 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same video quality, the OnePlus 8 also counts with a back facing camera with lot more mega-pixels.
