Comparison review

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is slightly better than OnePlus 8, getting a general score of 76 against 76. Even though the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is notably older than the OnePlus 8, it's construction is a little bit lighter and just a bit thinner. The OnePlus 8 has a bit superior CPU than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because it has more CPU cores and a larger amount of RAM memory.

The OnePlus 8 counts with a sharper display than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because it has a little bit larger display, a quite better 1080 x 2400 resolution and a little better screen pixels density. Xiaomi Mi Note 2's memory to store more apps and games is just as good as the OnePlus 8 one, both of them have exactly the same internal storage capacity.

OnePlus 8 counts with a little longer battery duration than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because it has 4300mAh of battery capacity instead of 4070mAh. OnePlus 8 takes greater photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the OnePlus 8 also has a larger aperture, a back-facing camera with a lot higher resolution and a much larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors.

Although Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the OnePlus 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the OnePlus 8. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the OnePlus 8, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your savings.
