Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a score of 74.6, which is much better than OPPO A83's 60.7 overall score. Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 is newer than the OPPO A83, it's noticeably heavier and just a bit thicker. Both of these devices have Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has the previous 10 version while OPPO A83 has Android 7.1 Nougat version.
OPPO A83 features a bit faster processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8. Both of them have a Octa-Core CPU and the same RAM amount. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a little sharper display than OPPO A83, because it has a little bigger screen, a better pixel count per inch of screen and a way better resolution of 1080 x 2340px.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 takes greater videos and photos than OPPO A83, because it has a larger diafragm aperture to take better low light photography, a back-facing camera with lot more megapixels and a much higher video resolution. The OPPO A83 counts with just a bit more memory capacity to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 8, and although they both have the same 32 GB internal storage capacity, the OPPO A83 also has an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 features better battery performance than OPPO A83, because it has a 26% greater battery size.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 costs a bit more money than the OPPO A83, but you can get a much better phone for that few extra dollars.
