Galaxy A8 Star has an overall score of 82.1, which is better than OPPO A94 5G's 74.1 general score. Although the Galaxy A8 Star is much older and a bit heavier than the OPPO A94 5G, it's construction is still just a little bit thinner. Both phones in this review have Android OS, but Galaxy A8 Star has a newer 9.0 Pie version and OPPO A94 5G has Android 11, so it gives a couple nice extra features and performance enhancements.
OPPO A94 5G counts with a bit better screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a little bit larger screen, a just a little more pixels per inch of display and a bit higher 1080 x 2400 resolution. Galaxy A8 Star counts with a bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than OPPO A94 5G, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD card slot that holds up to 400 GB.
The OPPO A94 5G features a bit more powerful CPU than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the OPPO A94 5G also has more RAM memory. OPPO A94 5G features just a bit better battery lifetime than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 16 percent bigger battery capacity.
The OPPO A94 5G captures better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have the same video frame rate, a same size diafragm aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the OPPO A94 5G also has a camera with a lot better 48 mega pixels resolution and a lot larger back camera sensor.
