Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is much better than OPPO Reno2, with an 82.1 score against 73.9. These phones work with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a newer 9.0 Pie version while OPPO Reno2 has Android 10 version. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is an older and just a bit heavier cellphone than the OPPO Reno2, but Samsung made it somewhat thinner anyway.

Galaxy A8 Star and OPPO Reno2 feature similar CPUs, and although the Galaxy A8 Star has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The OPPO Reno2 has a bit better screen than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a bit higher 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, a quite higher pixels number in each inch in the display and a bit larger display.

The OPPO Reno2 counts with a way bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 512 GB and 256 GB internal storage. OPPO Reno2 has a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have the same aperture, the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the OPPO Reno2 also has a lot larger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a camera in the back with way more megapixels.

The OPPO Reno2 counts with just a bit better battery life than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 4000mAh battery size against 3700mAh.
