The Samsung Captivate has a global score of 57.2, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Stratosphere's score of 56.7. Both phones we compare here use the same Android 2.3 OS. The Samsung Captivate body is notably thinner and incredibly lighter than the Samsung Stratosphere, although it was released only 16 months before.

Samsung Captivate has a superior memory capacity to store more games and applications than Samsung Stratosphere, and although they both have an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 32 GB, the Samsung Captivate also has 12 GB more internal storage capacity. Samsung Stratosphere has superior battery life than Samsung Captivate, because it has 1800mAh of battery capacity instead of 1500mAh.
Samsung Captivate takes slightly better photos and videos than Samsung Stratosphere, and although they both have a back-facing camera with a 5 mega pixels, the Samsung Captivate also has a lot better 1280x720 video resolution.
Although Samsung Captivate is a better device, it costs a little more money than the Samsung Stratosphere, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Stratosphere. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Samsung Captivate, else you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Stratosphere, letting go a couple features and specs.
